we didnt know we had a rooster hatch at christmas last year but thats what it looks like[only one egg hatched and they were supposed to be all hens],we have 3 hens that we got last winter and were told they hatched in october of 2012 now one of them is sitting on about 5 or 6 eggs,we're not...
our coop is near an area [the garage among others] that always have a lot of weeds and iv all ways sprayed ,i HAVE to get rid of them, theyll over run every thing if i dont.i just got new chickens this winter and they are doing well.how about i spray and and dont let them out for a week or so?or...
i need to spray to kill some weeds near the coop,can i just not let them out for a couple days.i know ill have to do it when theres no wind.arent most weed and grass killers inert after 6 or8 hours?
the one chick we have in the house from dec.24th, the others born oct.12th will be coming home monday,everything is clean and ready,new straw,water bowl heated,grower feed.is the one one from december ready?all hens.
we have 5 hens born october 15th coming monday and im getting ready to clean out the coop for them, we live in central indiana and im wondering whats the best bedding for them,and any special food for winter?
