    I have trouble hatching eggs but I'm also new at this. I have heard that eggs from a lower altitude has a different type of shell, so when you try to hatch at a higher altitude they don't hatch well. I'm at I believe 7800 foot hills in Colorado. Has anyone else had this trouble or heard of...

    ventilation in coop

    Why is it very impotant to have more ventilation in your coop than a window and the small doors the chickens come in and out of. I know you need a door for yourself but in winter isn't it just making it colder for them to have vents by the ceiling.
