Hen Panting and Won't stand up

I have a 18 week red sex link. She was fine this morning but now won't stand and is panting. My husband laid down weed and feed all around thier coop and I believe that she might have eaten it. Could this be the cause? Is there anything I can do?

    What would you do???

Right now I have 10 chickens. I believe that 3 are cockerels. They are about 6 weeks old. I am wanting to replace the cockerels with pullets/hens. I live close to Dunlap hatchery and they are selling all their laying hens for $6 or I can also get red sex links from a farm for $6 that are 7 weeks...

6 Week Old Chick injured leg

One of my chicks got out of the run. Finally found her. She has some dry blood on her wing but I don't think the blood is coming from her wing. She is also limping. What do I need to do?

Food getting everywhere *update with another question*

**I have started using a big lid underneath their food and it has been working great. My next question is how much do they need to eat? I am starting to have to refill their feeder everyday. 5 Roos?

I got 6 chicks from a farm. They seem to be a barnyard mix. They were born on Easter. One of the chicks has most of its wing feathers and part of its tail feathers. The other 5 have hardly any feathers. I have read that one sign of roo/hen is hens grow their feathers faster. Is it likely that I...

Another Question...One chick picking on the others?

I have noticed today that one of my six chicks is going around and pecking all the others. It is pecking them near their beaks. Could this one be a roo? Do I need to separate it from the others or is this just normal behavior? I am brand new to this and still learning. :)

Keeping Chicks 2 weeks apart in same brooder?

I was given 6 Barnyard Mix chicks. They are about 1 1/2-2 weeks old. I live in the city and so I am not allowed to have roosters. I would be very surprised if all 6 ended up being hens. I am thinking of going and getting 2-4 more from my local store. Would it be okay to keep them all together?
