    My beautiful salmon fav layed her first egg today, unfortunately the Isa brown attacked her on the best, blood everywhere and an injured comb. What do I do? Miss isa has been locked away, whilst my injured girl is with her friends. Any suggestions?

    Broody for 7 weeks!

    My crazy fizzle bantam has been broody for 7 weeks now, tonight I kicked her off the nest and blocked access to it. It took a good 39 mins but she is back on the too roost. I wish I had a wire cage but unfortunately I don't:( any other suggestions?

    Introducing new girls

    Today we had to return a roo and picked up two new girls. One is sleeping on the top roost the other in one of the nesting boxes. The one in the nesting box is the same breed as the roo. The girls have been talking at high pitch all day since we took him away, how long will this last?

    7mth old chickens and no eggs!!

    Hi, I have chickens ranging from 5-7 months + and still no eggs!! We are heading into winter here in Melbourne Aust... Everyone keeps telling me that I won't get an egg now till spring, is this true? My older girls are Rhode Island reds, light Sussex and Australorp hybrid. Many thanks
