    Eggs breaking

Well I've finally got about 3 eggs from the 15 BRs. Chickens are scratching the hay out of the nesting box. Two of the three eggs were in the box and cracked. The third was laid by their food. Chickens won't sleep in chicken tractor

Built a new chicken tractor and pit chicks in two days ago. They will not sleep in the coop section. They huddle up on the ground in one corner. Is this normal? When will they start going up to coop area to sleep? Any suggestions/comments appreciated. A little worries about them.

    Loud guineas

Thinking of purchasing guineas to help with the ticks but I have heard a lot about how loud they are. Does anyone know or have had experience with them scaring off the deer and turkeys?

Well I bought a 10 acre farm and the kids asked for chickens. Some how we ended up with 16 layers and 24 meat birds. Pretty exciting so far. Built my own coop and an 8x4 chicken tractor. We'll see how it goes.
