    Is it possible to merge 14 week olds with my 8 month olds?

    Can young chickens (3,14 weeks old) go live in coop after forging for over a month with the 3 older (8 month old) hens? Im not sure how to manage their food inside the coop though as the young ones have been eating grower and the older, layer…do I really have to wait until they start laying...

    What breed is this chicken

    Hi, I bought this chicken (black and white) last weekend and they said it was a Merlan. I am in Quebec so maybe name different in English? I can’t find any chicken with that breed name…do you know this breed? She is about 20 weeks old.

    What would you improve on?

    I am using my grandson’s cabin as a henhouse now…is this too high or steep for them to come down/go up in? I just got 3 girls this past weekend and so far not one has come out and used the ladder to come down…is the coop too high? Thanks!

    Hatchling foot weird and chirping non stop

    can someone tell me why this hatchling never settles down like the other hatchlings? Not sure if food is deformed and her foot is her or what...she had trouble when hatched...seemed her yolk was not completely absorbed..could not even lift her head much...I placed her with the other hatchlings...
