Sexing mountain quail
I am having trouble telling my trio of m/f mountain quail apart. Not really even sure what to look for. I sure hope I don't have all males but Murphy's bird law... What should I be looking for? I don't even know what pwrts of their bodies to take pictures of. Thank you!!! Chris -
WTB Gambel pairs or hatching eggs (blue scale/mountain too)
My great grandad inlaw wanted to go into partnership with me raising a few quail and i guess my gambels didnt like his flight cage and seemed to all freeze this past cold snap. He's heartbroken so i'm trying to get some in so we have hatching eggs and/or chicks to sell just at the local swaps...- chrishw

just how many quail fit in 1sq. foot?
These boogers are just so funny, this is what 100 BW, 5 weeks old, looks like in a pile! I think they must be 7 deep in that corner. They have lights on the other side of this cage but I guess they wanted to make their own tonight!
