    How long is too long to wait for first eggs?

    We have 6 chooks - three are still too young, we have one laying (Speckled Sussex) who did not start until 28/30 week mark - but the other two are now well over 30 weeks (Olive Egger and Blue Weyandotte) in fact more like 32 weeks+

    Oh the indignity!!

    Lily our 14 week old Lavender Orp - has to be preened - as she has a problem with her neck/back. But despite the indignity of it all - she actually seems to enjoy it and preens the bits of herself she can reach - and preens my husband as well!
