Hi guys, I just finished building a quail cage that is 4 feet long by 2 feet wide and 2 feet high. My plan is to keep 10 Coturnix quail in that space. Williby overcrowding them? I'm new to the Quail game and I would appreciate any and all help.
Decided to keep quail since they require much less space. So, I'm giving this a shot. It'll be 4 feet long by 2 feet wide. Plenty of room for 5 females and one male. Japanese quail that is.

My home made incubator has temp ranges from 100° to 95° with a cycle of 9 1/2 minutes before the bulb turns back on. This appears to be the best numbers I can achieve with a water heater thermostat. Has anyone had success with these numbers?
