We had 4 total keets and went to coop and found 2 have a hurt leg. One is putting weight in his flying around still and acting good. The other is doing the same but I can't get it to stand right on it's foot. It holds it on it's side. We have braced it and everything for a week, it is still...
Most of my chickens look like this...
I found this picture in the internet because my hens are all out free ranging. We have 14 hens and 2 roosters. All hens have varying feather loss except a few. What do I do? We have checked for bugs, cleaned coop, sprayed coop and dipped chickens.
My chicks are 4 weeks old. When do you let them go in with the big ones? This is our first hatch and our first integration. We free range during the day but shut them up at night. Right now they are in a hutch where the older ones can see them but can't get to them.

We have eggs in the incubator and today is day 21. If I pull both red plugs I can't get it to maintain temp. Is just one left in ok? Also we have no piping but most of them I have seen move within the last few days. How long do you let them go before you call it quits?
So we left for about 6 hours and I came home to find the incubator had been unplugged. These eggs are due to hatch next weekend. Temp was 78' what do I do? Would it have killed them?
So we made a big mistake with our first hatching and now I am trying to figure out what to do. Tues will be day 18 and we have 9 eggs that have someone in them. I understand the lock down, BUT we didn't realize we had to turn off the egg turner, so we have 9 that will hatch this coming week, but...
Hello,
I am a homeschooling homesteading Momma. We raise dairy goats, chickens, a few dairy cows, and horses. I am pretty much an open book and looking for help in our newest adventure of hatching chicks for the first time.
