I just have a pair of hens (supposedly Ameraucana -- one modeled brown with rusty head; one all white. Otherwise they look the same).
All of the sudden the brown one is missing all her saddle feathers. (no blood, or open wound)
I haven't seen any pecking, but I assume it's the other (white)...

Brand new to this, I am frantically building a coop for the new chicks.
Of the 5 chicks I purchased April 30th at TSC, it looks like I have 2 hens and 3 roosters. I'll be keeping (tractor cooping) the hens, and relocating the roosters to a horse farm in the country...

NO ONE here, that I have been able to find, seems to be discussing weight concerns, or their choice of material for cladding/siding on such a rig that will see winter? (Sorry “Arkansas”, that’s not really winter, LOL ;)
I live in mid-Michigan. What do y’all think would be my best choice...
