Approximately 8 week old silkie is limping/fluttering when she attempts to move around, but she's mostly sitting behind the waterer.
I lost my grip on her 4 days ago and she fell onto the garage floor. She's staying quite still most of the time, but when she does move, she's trying to...
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.)
Young Pullet, 4-5 months old, Splash Orpington
2) What is the behavior, exactly.
I found blood splatters under her roost yesterday and today. I watched for a poop, and its just a gob of...
I understand that I need to turn the L shaped thing, but do I want the wafers to turn on the inside? Or should the wafers stay stationary when I turn the L thingie (what is that thing called anyway?)
I read the thread about the lady that saved her flock with gallimycin and vaccinations. I have everything in my cart, ready to check out, but it will be $100, maybe more with shipping. The vaccine info says to "use entire contents when first opened" and that they must be re-vaccinated in 3...
1) What type of bird , age and weight (does the chicken seem or feel lighter or thinner than the others.) Largefowl barnyard mix, I don't know her age, but she's older than 2 years. She does feel lighter and thinner than the others.
2) What is the behavior, exactly. Not laying, waddling, has...
Approximately 6 week old ameraucana is standing hunched with eyes closed. Wings are droopy and she's peeping. She will rouse and scratch/peck around, but resumes her same stance. I assumed it was cocci, but this is the 4th day on Corid and she is looking worse instead of better. I just checked...
I was working on the new coop this morning and my three older hens were scratching around close by. I noticed "cinnamon" standing funny and pushing a little. Sure enough, she stood there and laid an egg right in the middle of the yard. Then she immediately pecked it open and they all ate it...
6-7 weeks old.
I can't even really tell them apart yet. One seems to maybe have slightly fuller neck feathers (hackles?) than the other.

I bought a broody with a few chicks and ducklings a few weeks ago. The mama died today. (I don't know why. She stopped eating yesterday. No symptoms except loss of appetite/weight loss).
So now I have a broody coop full of orphans. 2 little black copper Marans (about 3-4 weeks), 2 ameraucanas...
This is the second batch of chicks that I got from a local farm. The first group has no issues, but these babies are sick. It started with one and seems to be going through the lot (3 silkies and a blue copper maran). Here's the tiny silkie. She rarely even opens her eyes and I've been dripping...
Im new to this breed, and have 3 silkie chicks of different ages...I would guess they are 2-4weeks, they seem to be about a week apart in age, judging from the size.
Is it normal for silkie chicks to look a little mangy? The feathers are sparse on their heads and kind of uneven across the top...

This has been here for about 3 weeks. She's eating, laying, and behaving normally. I've tried abx in the water for a week, but it has not seemed to make a difference.
There is a little scabby looking place in those cheek feathers. I'm considering removing that to see if it will drain...
I've been lurking in and off for about a year, enjoying my 3 hens.
I've recently purchased a broody hen with a few chicks (2 BCMs and 3 muscovey ducklings. She adopted my 2 americauna babies in the middle if the night when I brought her home. I also have 3 silkies and a blue copper maran that...
