Central NY winter, ugh
This is my first experience with chickens, and so far I'm really enjoying it, but I have to admit I'm second guessing my decision to have them, winter really stinks. First of all I only have two, and I wonder if they're adequately keeping each other warm enough. We just had a nasty cold spell...- jaylorm

what to do with my one lonely hen?
I got two buff brahma pullets in July, my first and only chickens. This morning one of them was killed. Now I have one left and I'm worried she won't make it alone through the winter. I am wondering if I should find a home for her, or try and introduce her to another hen or two before winter...- jaylorm
