not getting to the nest box in time
My chickens just started laying a couple weeks ago. A couple times this week we have found a broken egg on the floor of the coop, which they then start eating ( I don't want that habit to start too!). They roost on top of their coop at night. I'm ASSUMING what is happening is she's not getting...- chillz

Hey everyone! I'm a new member to Backyard Chickens. We got our first chickens in March. We have 2 Rhode Island Reds, 2 Ameraucanas and 2 plymouth barred rocks. They just started laying a couple weeks ago. I'm anxious to learn all there is to know about chickens!- chillz
