    My Quail is trying to mate with my cat??!

    First, no worries - they are separated... But when my cat comes around, instead of crouching down and squealing for a sec like she used to, now Omelette does a little tap dance and puts her butt and tail up in the air. I have to get a pic. Is this a mating ritual??

    Is this a Happy Dance? Testing his environment? Mouth open, tongue and throat undulating..

    I'm wondering what this behavior means. I thought before she was testing her environment. But this time she was very happily giving herself a "dust bath", practically rolling around in her blanket when she started.. Mouth open, tongue "wagging", no sound - is this like a dog sniffing?
