Instead of an egg, one of our pet hens laid something that looks a bit like a golf ball covered in blood with a stringy thing at one end. Really gross. Other than that, she seems fine. Her previous egg was soft shelled.
Any ideas?
Yesterday we noticed one of the hens was acting a little lethargic and had a giggly crop. After some research we ended up flipping her upside down to drain the crop and gave her some yogurt. At that time the other two hens were normal.
