Sunday the neighbors dog killed six of my 12 ducks. The survivors are still trauamatized. All they do is sit in the corner of the coop. When i come in they just huddle together. They want no part of comming outside. Will they ever get over it?

The weather has been crappy the last two days, temps in the 30's, and snow this morning. My poor 5 week old ducklings would love to get out of the coop. But i think it is too cold. What do you think? They have most of their feathers. And they have oil glands now.
I let the ducklings outside for the first time today. They eventually had fun and took a little bath. They are 4 weeks old tomorrow. I heard one doing a squeky quack, so at lest one hen. Hopefully more. They have feathers on the their bellies and getting a few wing feathers.[/IMG]

Just wanted to say hi. I have a small flock (7) assorted chickens. ive had them about three years. Next month i have 12 ducklings arriving. 1o mallards and two pekins. I can hardly wait. Hopefully it will warm up a litte, temps been below zero at night lately. I have raised ducks before.
