Im new to chickens and I'm in process of building a coop. I have a shed Im kinda adding to to make a coop. They will have open access to plenty of yard but would a coop about 28" wide x 8'long by 3-4' tall be sufficient for between 6-10 birds? Just for them at night? Im also going to build nest...
My chicks keep throwing pine shavings in the feeder and waterer.. Could I maybe set them on a small piece of plywood or something to keep shavings out??
So I'm new to chickens pretty much. I just purchased 6 day olds from tractor supply and one has already died. It kept shaking it's head and would not move around at all. Any ideas on the problem? Or should I be concerned with other chicks health..? Thanks
