When my silkie gets in the nest she will pick up bits of pine shaving and flick them up on to her
back .....sometimes I've seen her walk around in the run and flick twigs and leaves up on her back too.

2 young silkie cross roosters first crow was Sept 6th. Not loud like some can be.
They have only been with us for 3 weeks they are very sweet.

Well I set up my BYC page and invite you to take a look at the begins of our new coop. Haven't got any chickens of our own yet, looking forward to going to our first sale in Mt. Forest and visiting a farmer's market this weekend to "take a look" ...... yes, I'll go with that.
Neighbour suggests we paint the new coop inside and outside. We planned to paint the outside but I'd rather just add insulation board to inside and you can't paint that - opinions?
