We set 12 BBSO and 3 Lavs today in our homemade incubator. We made some improvements to the temp. control system and it's working much better. I'll candle next Saturday.
I have one silver Phoenix that hatched about an hour ago, 1 day early can I grind up some layer crumbles to get it by until tomorrow? If not what do you recommend? I'm a little worried about the extra calcium in the layer mash but I can get starter 1st thing in the morning?

I am showing one of my five SPs at the fair in a couple of weeks. They started out on 4-20-2009 so they are not laying yet. My 4-h project is breeding chickens so I want to use the best example of the breed. What features should I be focusing on?
