    my first double yolk

    One of my BA crosses laid a huge egg with double yolk. She has been laying for a week now :D My 10 year old scrambled them up before I could take a picture! I read this is common in young pullets, and is a defect, but we sure thought it was cool!!

    she was bought along with a couple of brahmas..I thought she was going to be a light brahma and she very obviously is not! I think her eggs may be light green (these are our first 5 eggs ), not sure yet who's they were but she is the most likely culprit (other hens are australorp x welsummers...

    Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that puts time and effort into this site! I had no idea how much there was to know until I found this site. My little chickie poos are around 4 weeks now and seem just as happy and healthy as can be, mostly because of all the great info you all provide!
