    one of my girls has eaten antibiotics our cat spat out

    Help - One of my girls has eaten an antibiotic tablet our cat spat out. The active ingredients are Spiramicina, Metronidazolo, Eccipienti q.b.a. for a 2kg cat. It happened so quickly I am not sure which chicken got it. Any one know what effect it will have or poisonous.

    unusual chicken poo

    One of my new chickens' poo is soft forming 1" round flattish drops, light brown inside and darker where the air has got to it, it is hard to clean and stick to cleaning utensils. She has always done this and is just starting to lay,Is this any thing to worry about?

    My hens put twigs or grass on their back just before or after they lay their eggs, does anyone know why do they do this?

    Ciao Tutti. Thanks for your site it a great place for things you need to know about chickens. We live in a country area of Sicily where dogs are kept chained up all day & night 12 months a year (and it can get down to freezing for a few weeks a year) and only have an up-turned sink for shelter...
