I noticed there wasn't a Sims 4 thread and as I just started playing the game, I thought it'd be fun to see if any other chicken-keepers played it.
Has anyone found any poisonous harvestables in the game? In TS3 there were mushrooms that you could use to kill the zombie sims if you had...
I live in Houston, TX and my mixed flock of chicks has been outside for about a week now. They have shade to retreat under but they rarely choose to do so. A couple have black, and I mean black not purple, combs. The ones with the dark combs that I've noticed are both Golden Laced Wyandottes and...
My dog seems to think that my 2 month old chicks are tennis balls. She doesn't shake them when she catches them and the birds are fine afterwards but I know the stress of being carried around by a puppy can't be good for them. The one bird that she was caught doing it to went into a brief shock...
I've got three bold little gals that look like this:
Any guesses? I got the rare variety pack but from what I gather, Ideal considers a lot of birds "rare".
I don't suppose there's a particular type of bird that likes perching on heads!
Mercury is 4-5 weeks old. I've recently heard crowing in the morning coming from the brooder but this one wasn't even on my radar of potential roos until I saw a pink comb this morning.
I'll post more pictures upon request.
I have a little Golden Campine Pullet that I got from Murray Mcmurray about a month ago. I'd post a picture but there doesn't appear to be anything noticeably wrong with the leg when I pick her up. Both legs are equally sized and spaced when I'm holding her or set her on the ground on both feet...
From my research, I've gotten different answers so I've come here for some input. Does it depend on the lineage of the chicken or whether or not it breeds true? The lineage bit seems a bit dangerous considering the strong potential to bottleneck the breed out of existence. Or, is there something...
I've figured out most of what I got in that order but these three are giving me a little trouble as there's more than one breed they could be. I'll update this post with pictures as they get older.

Hello!
It's my first time posting on BYC but I've been lurking since last fall when I decided that I needed chickens to keep me occupied if we moved outside the city. We're moving in two weeks and in the meantime, I've got a batch of 10 chicks in my brooder set-up. I initially ordered twice...
