    Chicken roosts/sleeps with head hanging down. Is this okay?

    One of my younger Polish pullets sleeps on the roost bar at night with her head hanging down by her feet. She is completely normal and upright at all other times of day. Just wondering if I should be at all concerned by this, or if others have chickens that sleep this way. Thanks!

    Can I really dunk my chickens in cool water on extremely hot days? (1st time owner)

    I have read it other places, but the person I purchased from said I should never let them get wet. I'm a little confused and just want to be able to cool them off when the temps are unbearable here. I have 4 15 week old bantam cochins, and one Japanese bantam. Thanks for any advice in advance!
