This is Butters, he/she is 14 weeks old. I know orpingtons are notoriously hard to sex. No crowing. Not overly dominant, but higher on the pecking order. Some threads I read look at feathers too help...

So I have 6 straight run chicks that are 7 weeks old. 3 are definite rooster and 2 are definitely pullet and I'm calling one a "wait and see" even though I'm pretty sure I'm just in denial and it's a rooster. Anywho... I'm really in no hurry to remove the roosters yet even though I eventually...

This chick was sold to me as a "lemon Orpington" at the time I knew nothing about chicken breeds. Now that I'm totally submerged into the chicken world 5 weeks later I'm questioning whether this is a "buff" or a "lemon". Any opinions on the matter?
