Feathers are coming in force.
Are new feathers itchy enough to cause the li'l chicks to scratch/twist/hunker down in the bedding and dust themselves repeatedly in the DE/pine shavings?
They look like dusty little crazy birds.
Close inspections shows no sign of mites or the like, no skin...

Brooder box had lights in a hood, temp always around 95F underneath it.
Chicks slept wherever they seemed to nod off.
I just moved them to a deluxe pen I built, 4'x5', same lights under a hood in one area.
Ambient temp is around 80F, closer to 90F under the hood...

Full circle sprints in the brooder box, the rest in mad chase.
Even though one worm was WAY too big for one to easily manage...

Eleven out of 13 have been discarded, rotten, no signs of development.
One is clearly formed and moving.
One is tough to see, may have form.
Should it also be "clearly formed and moving"?

Sorry, the pic stinks. It does show the small (4mm) chip in the egg and
absolutely shows the dry droplets of glue that look like albumin which
have liberally appeared over the shell surface.
The bator has taken an odor that is SLIGHT and not entirely unpleasant...
