Getting upset there's no signs of injury or anything just I've been noticing a little piles of feathers all over the yard we think they're molting I don't think that they molt in the summer do they?
I'm using Sam in the toddler crib that I am keeping all nine babies in and oh my God it smells like a V worst rotting fishy smell. It is seriously so fing nasty.
We do sift there sand and clean out the poo poo but it still smells so god-awful
Does sand alone control the stink? yes when I say crib I mean the kind you'd put a baby and toddler in. I got a free crib and I am closing the slats up s o they can't get out and putting them in there.
And this time we put them in a pack and play along with momma, so hopefully there won't be any escaping when I thought the enclosure was all secure! They can chill in that for a while and then I am going to get something more secure. The 3 left from when I had 6 but 3 escaped are all showing...
I know I will have to secure the top cuz otherwise they would just get out or something would just get in and fill the bottom with river sand, but I need something temporary that I can take down and put up just when we have sea bright babies. It's just until they're old enough to go out into...
I have tried to find it locally and everything that comes up as where you can buy it, nope they're not river sand. yes even at rock quarry landscaping type places.:rant :barnie
I was thinking one with a double door so the bottom could stay closed and the top could be open for air flow. Or a shed but keep the double doors open and build a screen door or something so they have airflow
or what about a carport frame and you enclose it This would only be until the babies...
One had 6 babies, and Cami had one baby! Sadly cami found a way to get out of the enclosure with her chick:( But hopefully, we have made it so this momma and her chicks can't get out. I am super excited, this newest batch of babies will be the third generation. Peepers had babies, and the...
Last time we had babies Peepers would kick all the chick starter out of the dish and eat it all. Is it ok for Mom to eat chick starter for a while instead of her feed too?
someone told me to put sugar on her vent and try to draw the fluid out, but when I googled it, every site said something different, one website said you can lube up a finger with petrolium jelly and gently push it back in, another one said to use veteran and spray their butt 2-4 times a day ...
You may remember my thread where I asked why weren't any of the other birds looking like their momma?Roo roo and his sister, neither of the two girls are showing any more color than this one and it will be interesting to see if they do. They're about 6-7 months old :)
What the heck are they talking about? What is "with the mother" mean? This was advice on what to do. Acidify their digestive tract and crop by adding 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with the “mother” to each gallon of their drinking
Our GoldenSeabright Rooster is trying to have sex with our bigger girls, and they're a large full size breed. She sits there and lets him do this, and if he succeded and there were babies, would there be problems genetically or anything from one being a tiny banty and one being full sized
This is my full-grown bird peepers.she had babies and that one of them looks exactly like her and then the other two look like this now why is one looking like an exact copy of Mama 2 do not. Maybe 2 are boys? Mama's at golden Sebright but I don't know what breed Daddy is. he volunteered himself...
