do you know where I can buy river sand online?

I have tried to find it locally and everything that comes up as where you can buy it, nope they're not river sand. yes even at rock quarry landscaping type places.

I have a similar issue with only being able to find play sand, instead of the construction/river sand that is much better.

Well one place DOES have construction sand, but I didn't know if that was something that was a suitable alternative.

I've looked stuff up and it seems like construction and is generally ok for them as well.

You almost have to go look at it to see if it's coarse enough.
Names of sand are colloquial and vague, there's no real standards.
How do you plan on using this sand?

Did you find a local source for your sand? We buy ours by the 14-ton dump truck load from our local quarry. Google “sand” and “quarry” for your area.
