    I have 6 hens and one of my Brown Leghorns is starting to loose her neck feathers. She is about 10 months old. Is she sick or molting?

    First Egg.....

    We got our first Egg today. I think it's from one of our New Hampshire reds. That's who was sitting in that box when I open their house this morning. We have 2 NH reds, 2 Buff's and 2 Brown Leghorns. They all are 21-22 weeks old. Hopefully there will be more to come soon.

    When do I open the egg boxes

    Good morning everyone. We have 6 birds all 11-12 weeks old. We have 2 New Hampshire Reds, 2 Buff Orpingtons and 2 Brown Leghorns. I currently have the egg boxes blocked off so I have less of a mess to clean up. I was wondering when should I open them to the ladies? Thanks in advance for any input.

    finally Finished and they LOVE it

    Glad to get them out of the garage and in their new home. Don't worry I'm not burning it down. Its a bug tiki torch for the sand flea's. I'm in SE North Carolina and they are already out. We have 6 birds and I think w will have room for a few more. Opinions, questions and suggestions please.

    Just wanted to say hello. We are brand new to the world of raising chickens and we are so excited. Our chicks are about a week old and they have already been so much fun to watch and the kids love them too.
