    10 week old chicks and cracked corn

    We have 29 chicks that are 10weeks old in a coop/run outside... and their chick starter Is getting expensive... we were wanting to start giving a 2/3 cracked corn mix to them.. is this ok? Also heard of giving grit with corn? Any advice is helpful TIA :yiipchick

    Shell-less Egg??? cause and effect??

    So it all started.... my pigs found their way into the coop!!! One of our voops is a barn stall across from our 3 hogs and when we let the pigs out for their evening sun bath and roll in the grass our BOSS HOG found his way of unlocking the door and into the chicken coop... surprisingly enough...

    is it safe to eat these eggs?

    Our fully grown, egg producing, buff orp. Hen swallowed a dead mouse whole. The mouse died im assuming from poison (in the deep holes of our barn that the chickens can not get to). My question is this: is it safe to consume the eggs she produces and if not how long should we wait to start...

    Someone please tell me what is wrong with my baby chick... she wont lay down and seems to walk very slow and seems weak she basically lays her head on the ground and keeps her legs straight in standing position...     Just picked up 11 araucanas, 13 black australorp, 1 buff orpington, 1 silver lace, and a couple of col. Rock.. all chicks... we got into the chickens last year with 5 buff orpington full grown hens and one buff roo.. which we still have... just would like to know if we got what we were asking...
