BCM with yellow feet- is this really a BCM?

I just picked up a 9 week cockerel from a lady who told me he is a black copper marans. But right away I noticed he is different than my many other BCM hens and roos. He has yellow legs and feet, where all my others have black legs and feet. Is this just a genetic rarity? Or is he not actually a...

Help sexing black copper marans 6.5 weeks old

of my 11 straight run black copper marans, I have two that I'm still uncertain about in terms of gender. Combs and wattles are paler and smaller than the other obvious cockerels. At 6.5 weeks is there a chance these are pullets?

Could either of these be half welsummer?

I have a couple mixed breed pullets (15 weeks old) and I'd really like to know if either one could be half welsummer. Unfortunately, a friend of mine hatched these in her incubator so I didn't see which chicks came from which eggs. I have 2 icelandic mix roosters (one red and one white) and one...

12 week barnyard mix has me stumped

I am thinking rooster because of the red in the wing. Is that a dead giveaway? Or could it possibly still be a pullet?

6 week mixed breed gender help

I have ten 6 week old chicks I'd like help with. This is the first time I have hatched eggs from my own flock. Possible mixes come from the following: 3 different roosters: Easter egger, and 2 icelandic/wyandotte. Hen breeds: Ameraucana (from feed store so probably actually Easter eggers) red...

    8.5 week Icelandic/Wyandotte genders?

I have 3 chicks, 8.5 weeks old that I am having a hard time deciding on gender. My neighbor gave me these hatching eggs and her roosters were all Icelandic and her hens are various Wyandottes. So here are the three. I feel confident the darkest brown one is a pullet. The cream and gold ones are...

6 week barnyard mix- pullets or roos? **UPDATED 8 weeks pics**

I have 2 barnyard mix chicks that are 6 weeks old. I am guessing they are roosters based on those red combs but would like other opinions. Is it too soon to tell for sure? Also, they were hatched from light blue eggs, does that mean they are easter eggers for sure or could they be something else?

Broody hen left eggs on day 18 for possibly overnight....is all hope lost?

This is my first time trying to hatch eggs with a broody. I found her off the eggs on the morning of day 18 and they were cold. Not sure if she was off all night or just for a few hours that morning. I had candled the eggs on day 16 and all looked viable. Now it's day 20 and no pipping so far. I...
