    Black Vent

    Apologies if this has been covered. Can't seem to find a thread. My White Rocks have black around their vents. One of my RIR's, as well. What is it and what's the treatment. Thanks.

    Chicken Fleas?

    Went to collect the eggs the last few times and got what appeared to be fleas on me. Ive never noticed fleas on chickens before. Are they indeed fleas and how do you folks get rid of them? Thanks.

    Strange Behavior/Limp Comb

    I've got a White Rock hen which doesn't leave the coop, as though she's trying to lay, but without results. She eats a bit and drinks a little and her comb is limp. Dehydration?     Respiratory Problem?

    I've got a White Rock that I just noticed has a high pitched wheeze when breathing. She doesn't appear to be laboring with her breathing and is going about her business as usual ie eating orange slices, food, water. Windpipe is clear. Any explanations? Thanks. Blair

    Is Chick Starter Enough?

    I got a 50lbs bag of chick starter for 25 chicks I just received. Is that all that they need, or do I need to give them something for their gizzards to help digestion? Thanks in advance. Blair
