I am looking to re-home my nearly 9 week old Brown Leghorn Rooster. He isn't overly aggressive as he has been handled by me and my two children pretty regularly. I would love to keep him, but he is starting to practice his crow, and my village doesn't allow roosters.
I was told this is a cuckoo Maran. But I supposed it could be a barred rock. Anyway. I was looking at her tail and the feathers do not look as defined and rounded as my standard brown or my Easter Egger. We have already discovered a rooster in our small flock. I'd hate to have another. We cannot...

I'm pretty sure my 2 month old brown leghorn is a Roo. Alvin (my son insisted on naming the chick Alvin because it looked like a chipmunk), perhaps my son knew something we didn't. Last week Alvin began making some bleating noises. Not a cockadoodldoo more of a goat sound. Pics below. [/IMG]
