turkeys are the singluar animal on the planet that are immune to electric fencing! I know, ridiculous. The electric fence will keep predators out, and the netting would keep the right sized turkey in, but the electricity is no deterrant to a turkey. Strange bird.
i have noticed lately my turkeys foot has a growth on it and now he is limping.i picked him up and it is kinda hard no cuts or anything else is wrong.any help is appreciated
I have read a few articles on this and I had built a tin water heater.i am having problems with bulb blowing out and water is froze again.its about 4 degree here in pa.any help is appreciated.really don't have the extra money to buy a chicken water heater starting at 40 bucks.
I have recently got 2 toms they are about a yr old.the 1 bird has some black on snood.i asked the guy I bought it from ,and he said it had gotten beat up.the pieces of puzzle aren't adding up..if anyone can help as to what this is I appreciate it.
i had made a 5 gal water pail with 4 nipples on it.chickens drink from it ,but my concern is that i put the old watering base in there and they drank from it for at least 10 min.it has been puzzling me as to why.do the nipples not give them enough water?they are all about a year old

hello.if this isnt in right section im sorry.my husband had built a incubator from styrofoam cooler 16"x16"x16" deep as an experiment.as of today we have 8 new chicks and and 4 have pip the shell.out of 17 eggs.he had a 100 watt bulb with a dimmer switch to control heat.3.. 1/2" holes in bottom...
i had built a 12x12 pen for my 5 chickens.been doing research on using limestone or sand.way to many, use or not to use.grrr. i can get 1/8" screening limestone(buckwheat to dust) to use for the floor at 4 inch thick.or should sand be used instead. limestone is 12.50 ton sand is 22.50 ton
hello i am having a humidity problem in incubator.i have a styrofoam box with a light temp is 100,light is on dimmer switch.problem is i cant get humidity over 46% i have a water container that is 4x8 1 inch of water in it.how can i get more.

i have a leghorn that has quit laying eggs.for about 2 months.we moved from florida to pa and about a week before leaving she had quit laying for no reason.food is the same,treats the same.while the site was upgrading ,i had noticed she was having green runs,comb tips went black..do not see...
