    Discolored boiled egg

    Not sure why this happens? I do have a mean RIR hen that jumps on hens and shakes and pulls their feathers off? Could that be disturbing egg? Every once in a while someone tells me they get this from our eggs - I’m not sure what bread is doing this

    Disease or ????

    My rir has lost feathers on top of her back & sides look like she is losing some. Now the australop looks like side feathers going. I put blu kote on rir to stop any picking. Checked for mites or anything & i didn’t see anything. Disease, molting, normal - only a year old. (No roos)

    Question on adding younger chicks with others.........

    Hi. I presently have six 5 week old chicks and just got 4 newbies (est 3 days old). Right now I have them in separate brooders and the 5 week old are going out to the coop in a day or two. Once the 4 babes are feathered - do I just put them with the others or have to slowly introduce them...

    Hi. Glad I joined this! Great info. I am new to raising chicks! Here is my babes I picked up TSC. Scared they are all Roos. Crazy bunch! I think RIR & Plymouth rocks.
