Does anyone have a minature or Christmas village collection? If so I'd love to see it.
My mom had one and I started my on in the early 2000s. I stopped for a few years but got back into it this past Christmas.
Come post some photos, make display suggestions, and product suggestions too.
I dedicate this thread to those chickens that make your heart skip a beat.
Post pictures of your sun & dirt bathing beauties. The ones that give you a fright at first glimpse.
I'll start with Chippy. She was the master at playing dead and making my heart skip a beat.

I am sorry to bother you all on a Sunday.
The end of August I lost 3 chicks. All were from the same mother and father. The parents are from my flock and look and act very healthy.
The chicks were hatched together in another coop and raised by a hen. They were...
I started my bantam flocks last year. I currently have two flocks with multiple chicks and teens, and more on the way. (Raised by broodies)
I'd like to keep some of my new male chicks.
I want to know how y'all manage your flocks with multiple bantam roosters.
I'm interested in knowing:
1. how...
My 6 easter babies are nearing 5 weeks
I'm sure that I have 4 males & one females (one light male not pictured) for certain.
The one I'm unsure of is the dark one in the middle
The other two dark ones have much bigger and redder combs. Thier bodies are quite a bit larger and they haven't...

Mother is a black mottled cochin
Just back yard mixed chicks hatched because of a broody, but I had not expected to get blue chicks.
Is porcelain really just splash?

I put 6 bantam eggs and 3 standard eggs in my incubator.
I put 5 bantam /2 standard in, then added 1 bantam/1 standard a day later.
So two eggs are already behind by around 28 hours.
I've only hatched standards in my incubator prior to this. I have always ran the incubator dry up until day 18...

I'm a reader and have been enjoying kindle unlimited for several years. There are several threads for readers but none just for Kindle unlimited users.
I'll read pretty much anything if it's entertaining.
I'm looking for recommendations for KU only. I'll list some of my favorites and I hope...
My little frizzle cochin, Maxwell Biggs, is searching for two or three little ladies to keep him company. Mr. Biggs is not choosy. Any smaller hens will do. He can offer them nice accommodations, top quality meals, recreational dust baths, and occasional treats.
If you have any bantam hens or...
I read that in 2019 people spent over 490 billion on pet costumes!
Do you dress up your pet for Halloween or other occasions?
(Photos requsted)
How much do you/ have you spent on their costumes?

One of my broody hens was sitting on 3 eggs. She hatched one 4 days ago. When I checked the other two eggs (both duds) today, I found an additional egg. Since I didn't give her a blue egg, I have no idea when she acquired it.
It is definitely alive, but very dirty.

1st time with bantams.
I have, I believe, 4 six week + cockerels, 5 six week pullets, and one 18 months hen.
At the moment I have two standards, 4 weeks and 6 weeks, housed with them.
I will be rehoming two to three of the cockerels soon. The standards will move out in a couple of weeks...

I have a 30 foot, 2008 or 2011 Tundra travel trailer with one pullout. We haven’t used in around 4 years, other than as storage.
The front window was broken out recently. The awning is in tatters. The floor is ok. The roof needs a new coat of waterproofing...
This isn't an emergency. But I would like some insight, and advice.
I have a legbar, who is 1.5 yo.
As a chick she had pasty butt when purchased. A week later was treated for cocidosis, and then a vitamin deficiency. (She was completely immobile prior to treatment.)
She is now, the size of a...
This is my first bantam purchase. I brought 11 of them home this past Tuesday.
They came from Ideal Poultry, by way of Atwoods. A couple may be older than others.
I'm curious about this one. (White at front of photo.) Clean shanks. Pink legs. A bit bigger than the others.
This one. Also clean...
