    do the eggs taste funy when preserved in hydrated lime

    I am considering storing the excess eggs we get in the hydrated lime and have done a lot of research but what I don't seem to find are peoples results? Do they taste funny or does the bloom protect the egg from tasting like lime? Please share your results Thanks

    incubated for the first time and i got 6 roosters out of 9 eggs????

    HELP! What did I do wrong--I set 9 eggs ---followed instructions to the T (in my homemade incubator) --they all hatched but I got SIX roosters? I am about to try some araucana eggs and if there is anything I need to know or correct please let me know.... thanks nervous chicken mama
