Hey guys
This is my new rooster Sammy having a bite to eat. He's a character!
So I know he's a Pekin bantam (which I am new to) and he's a mixture of different colours (different coloured parents). He's still quite young. Less than 6 months I believe.
What colour/colours would this be...
Hi all.
I have one rooster (Plymouth Rock) and 11 hens. Recently, 3 new hens were added and settled in fine. They were socialising with the rest of the hens and were fine with the rooster.
One of these hens (ISA Brown) is very tame and friendly. She'll let us pick her up and she tends to wander...
Hey guys,
I hatched x3 Plymouth roosters last December and can only keep x1.
I would like to keep the one who has the most classic Plymouth Rock features to breed with but I don't have a particularly well trained eye.
Any advice on which one to keep?
Let's call them, from left to right, A...
Hi there
I'm looking at getting some ducks and have found these ones in the photos advertised on gumtree as Khaki Campbell ducks. I pretty sure they are not... Probably cross breeds.
Could someone with a more expert eye have a look and let me know what you think?
I think the duck in the picture...
Hi there.
I hatched 6 chicks from a pure bred Plymouth rooster and supposedly the same with the hens.
Of the six, I got 3 hens and 3 roos.
2 of the boys and oneokf the girls look "normal" as per my untrained eye.
One of the boys and two of the girls have a funny look about the head, kind of...

These are my roosters

Nice Guy cost me $10 from a farm in the country and was sold to me as a Plymouth Rock. What do you think? He doesn't have yellow feet (I didn't really know the classic features...
Disappointingly, the $50 (AUD) I spent on a "POL Plymouth Rock" turned out to be a waste when the "POL hen" turned out to be a rooster (fortunately the breeder refunded me).
Now I have x2 plymouth rock roosters! But I quite like the younger guy now so hoping to keep them together.
The one at...
I've just entered the world of duck keeping and have welcomed this pair from a small suburban courtyard to our farm. The people had them as pets and sold them as '2 purebred Buff Orpington ducks.'
I was planning to get a buff orpington drake to add to the family but, after letting them loose on...
Hi all.
These 5 are my spring chickens all hatched and raised by the same mum - now over 3 months old.
The black one, who hatched last, is an Australorp cross Silkie and he is definitely a rooster in every way already doing all the things roosters do.
The other four are all Buff Pekin Bantam...
