My chickens feathers are falling out. Hundreds of them in the coop and run. She is acting extremely lethargic, closing her eyes. I think I saw some little brownish mites on her. At the touch feathers will fall out. I don't know what to do! Please help!
I have her in a cool quiet space
Her feet are a little bit poopy because she's been in the coop all day because the hens don't like walking in the snow!
She has multiple little bloody spots on her feet and it looks like her scales are peeling off and in some places they're nonexistent.
Her feet also look kind of raw to me...
My hen was standing in the yard kind of butt pointed down. Acting like she is kind of choking. Like bobbing her neck and arching it puffing out her feathers. I have taken her into the house. She is trying to make noises, but can't. She keeps dozing. Is this normal? I'll try to post a video to...
Hi all,
Friday morning I counted my flock and didn't see one of my Bufforpingtons (hope I spelled that right) I assumed she was out foraging. Saturday I didn't see either of my buffs. I thought coincidence I'll find them later and yesterday I was out with the flock and I couldn't find my either...

BC chickens are such huge targets they could die so easily! Anyone on here have one?

So plumage, beak, tongue, legs, toe nails, even meat, bones...
I recently posted a thread on here about my hens foot problems.
It is confirmed she has two (I guess bumble foot pods?) on one foot.
My dad is going to preform the surgery.
I've read tons of articles about bumble foot, but I just want some pro advice.
Going to buy some scalpels from tractor...
This girl decided not to sleep in the coop on a night a couple months ago with temps in the low teens. Her foot looks like it is actually missing scales. She doesn't limp or act like it hurts unless I touch it.

Yesterday I put my hens in their run. Four of them escaped while I had been gone all day. I didn't know it until that night when I happened to see one of my girls roosted on my deck. I put her back in the coop and found them all, but one. Today the hen that was missing showed up in the yard...
