Haven’t posted anything in a while and took some pics while I was out in the coop today. All of these are only 10 months or less old except for 2 of the BLRW. You will find Americaunas, BLRW, Brahma, Easter Eggers, some of the small chicks are Brahma, Crested Cream Legbar, French Coppper...
so both breeds are both auto sexing so if you crossed them to get an olive egger is it possible they would also be auto sexed?
thanks is advance to anyone who answers, there are many of you far more knowledgeable about the genetics and how they work
have a BLRW that is about 1 1/2 years old. She was laying great but suddenly stopped there were about 10 eggs in the box I was hoping she would go broody but she never seemed to. She just stopped laying altogether seems healthy. It was her and just my Roo in the pen and about 2 weeks ago I...
So I have had these posted with other birds before and have been told they are Blue Andalusian, Blue Ofington, or maybe even blue sapphire. They are a little older now so let’s see what every one thinks now.
I am keeping two of my Easter Egger Roos. The one pictured here I was thinking of breeding with 3 blue andalusion pullets. My question is will the coloring from the rooster since aster eggers are basically mixed breeds? Any Idea what I will get here? Also, if the Roo carries the blue egg...
New Brood box I built yesterday.
Please ignore the RIRs I know what they are. Take a look at the Easter Eggers these I am still not 100% on.
Fairly sure 6 & 7 are pullets
4 I think is a Roo
No idea. 3 acts like a Roo, but he/she has been a runt and developed so much slower I am not...
my dad has these chickens he got them from someone grown. He calls them Rhode Island Reds which I am pretty sure they are not. What do you think they are.
Hey I am currently designing a label for egg cartoons. Was curious to see what other people are using. Mine will have a play on the attached pics.
I did the next one as a joke and it cracked everyone up.
So my dad has Guineas he just lets wonder where ever they want. The other day we were walking around and found a huge nest with 53 eggs in it. So we loaded them in the incubator so in 29 days we will see what we get. I also put a dozen Blue Laced Red Wyandottes in there.
So I bought what was labeled as Americauna, turned out to be Easter Eggers was fine with that. Went back and bought what was supposed to be sexed pullets and brahmas, i don't think I got a single brahma, I will post picks this weekend but 3 of them are bluish color with no leg feather, the...
Ok I have a couple I am pretty sure I know what they are, but just to be sure here they are. Thanks in advance!
I am thinking number 2 is a Pullets.
Number 3 definitely a Roo.
Number 1 Pullet.
Hoping a pullet but not sure number 4
Number 5 thinking roo.
6 a...
I realize I am a bit prejudiced about my birds but I think this breed is a beautiful bird. There are so many beautiful breeds. Here are a few pics I took today of my adult birds
I have two Blue Laced Red Wyandottes, they have been laying about 4 to 5 months. I am guessing they are about a year or so old (I bought them after they had started laying). They are laying a dozen or so eggs a week between the 2 of them. Ok, so here is what is probably a stupid question is...
