    ok, so I have some chickens, which I’m hoping to be hens. I’m leaning to most likely yes they all are. All the chickens in the photos aren’t 4-5 months old. And then the last photo is of one of my roosters who I’m not sure on the breed. It’s something crossed with Dixie rainbow.

    Grape vines safe for chickens?

    I free range my chickens in my orchard which is mostly grapevines, and they love to eat the leaves. When I prune the vines I give the clippings to them and they go nuts for them. I know the leaves are safe for human consumption, but are they safe for chickens?

    i free range my chickens everyday, and the lands they’re on is half grassy green orchard and half desolate dirt field. The dirt field does have Little Rock’s and stuff. Are they getting enough grit? Their poop looks normal if that has anything to do with this.

    Possible mites?

    I think I may have mites in my coop. One of my hens is losing feathers on her back, I was reading that a good way to treat them is to combine 2 cups water with 1 cup cooking oil and 1 tablespoon of dish soap. Do you spray it on the chickens as well in the coop? Or just in the coop?

    Pretty soon I'm going to have 30 full grown chickens (1 Rooster, 29 Hens) and I was wondering if my coop was big enough. The coop itself is 380 Square feet, and everyday at around 3:10 pm I let them out to roam. They have a little over an acre all to themselves.
