Don’t worry no one is sick, but I am suddenly craving to have some peafowl to add to the farm after going to an auction where I saw some beautiful birds. I have three questions.
1. The coop we have is a large Flight aviary for finches, doves, and the occasional parrot, but it doesn’t have the...
I probably shouldn’t have done this, but I was givin eight hatching eggs that she said were chicken and duck, but I don’t know which is which. Anyway if there are chicken eggs they are five days away from hatching and I will stop the rotating in two days, but I don’t want to kill the duck eggs...
We are adding some new geese to our flock and I was wondering if a mix between an African goose and a Sebastopol goose will make offspring that can reproduce with our Buff and Toulouse. Also we are getting them as babies so the females who had no luck hatching their eggs will adopt them. If I...
We are building a new aviary for finches, quail, and bourke parrots and are planning on extending an aviary from our goose and duck coop. I was wondering if them being near each other, not together, will be okay in terms of giving each other sicknesses. Thanks in advanced.
Sorry for the bad pics I’ll try to get some better ones tomorrow, but We got it around Easter from tsc and it isn’t really showing any signs of being a rooster so I’m hoping for a girl. It sticks to our Rhode Island Red bantam when they free range.
Is anyone is located in Maryland and owns chickens that would need any help on Wednesday morning. I’m from Florida and on vacation and I have chickens and ducks of my own and would like to help out and meet some other chicken owners. Not sure if I posted this on the right thread. Thank you
so for about the past week my female Indian runner ducks voice has just totally disappeared. I’m very worried about her! She eats, drinks, and plays normally. Could it be a respiratory infection. I checked her throat for a lodge and didn’t find anything. Please help!
my one broody hen for the past two days has had gross wet feathers at the base of her tail where the oil gland is. Her pen is very dry but she is raising a baby goose. Their also appears to be a red spot. Please help is their anything I can put on it. Will a soapy bath help?!?! She is acting...
So I don’t know why all my chickens and ducks have randomly gone broody but if anyone else has any eggs in the incubator or under a hen join in. My hen is an old English game bantam and she is on day three of successfully incubating a goose egg. :celebrate
(I have never done a hatch along so...
my threads never take of but let’s see if this one will! So the goal of this thread is to post pictures of your coop and I will find some friends to help judge. No prizes just a beautiful coop and a round of applause. There will be four categories.
1. Most creative coop design(decorations or...
Breeding season is among us and I need to deworm my geese before the first egg, so I was wondering is this the correct safe guard that you put in there food for five days. Also I know you have to throw out the eggs after deworming them so do you do it after you deworm them or just those five...
I know my goose will start laying eggs soon so will that make her want to wonder away from her mate and act shy and eat only when no ones looking. We are setting up a new area away from the ducks with a nest box and kiddie pool. I have a few medications like Corid Incase she is sick. I would...
I’m not sure I’d this is the right place to be posting this but I am located in Sarasota Florida and I have a beautiful mixed breed cockerel. I already have two roosters and he just started mating so he gets bullied a lot. He loves treats and free ranging. He would like a home with lots of hens...
my male Toulouse goose seems to have two pupils. He can see fine out of his eye but I’m worried it could be some king of growth. It looks like a lightbulb shape or like his pupil is dripping? I will try to get a pic. Thanks in advance
i just noticed that my male Toulouse goose seems to have a double pupil. He has a normal black pupil and then a very dark brown spot overlapping it. Can it be a tumor I hope not. Please help! I will try to get a pic later.
my goose has what look like scabs on both of his wings where they bend. I’ll try to get some pics but it didn’t seem to hurt him when I touched them. The space in about a cm wide with no feathers. Should I be worried?

my male pekin duck has two spots that are a greenish yellow color on each side of his beak under the nostrils. It is a little bit soft but doesn’t seem to cause him any pain. Should I try to wipe it with soap or something. He acts perfectly fine. It doesn’t seem to grow or shrink in size.
my brown game fowl has not started to lay any eggs yet and she is older than the other pallets who have been laying for weeks. She crouches down for me and my rooster but no eggs. She also has a very bright red large comb. I don’t free range my chickens unsupervised but sometimes she sneaks away...
so my geese just started mating today and I was wondering how I should make them a special pen. They live with my 9 ducks and the females are notorious for sneaking their eggs into a broody’s nest. (That’s why we have so many ducklings) I know that duck eggs hatch quicker than geese eggs...
