We are in the city limits and roos are a no-go.
It's 85°F here and humid as heck. My 4 girls are out in the run together and Henrietta keeps trying to hide under Kylo Hen's butt. Like, shoving her head under there.
What the heck is she trying to do? They are 10-11 weeks old.
Kylo doesn't seem to care, FWIW.
I finally got the top of my run secure enough for supervised trips for my chicks. The girls* got a couple of hours outside today. (Well-supervised because there's at least one hawk that resides nearby.)
(More or less. Pretty sure at least one's gonna be a roo...)
We bought a house in January and it came with a coop and a run.
It needs some TLC, but also is this going to work for my 4 hens? They are 5.5 weeks now and still in my bathtub in a plastic bin. We took the top off the run (will be replaced with wire or cloth) and scooped/hosed out the house...
My daughter picked the last "cinnamon queen" out of the sexed bin at TSC. Now, at 3 weeks, this is what Cleo looks like:
Which is completely different from my Golden Comet, which is supposed to be the same thing, if I'm reading the internet correctly. The colors are off because heat lamp...

I am new to chickens, and this site kept coming up in my googling. :)
We have four chicks in the bathroom right now and they are three-ish weeks old. Hopefully they are all pullets, since we live in a city and that's all we can have. They are Asian Black, Golden Comet, Cinnamon...
