Hey everyone! I am wanting to expand my flock with some new breeds next spring, and I was wondering what would be some interesting breeds to incorporate? I would like to find some more unique and rarer breeds! :D
Thanks!
Hello, my broody hen has been sitting on some eggs, and two days ago one of the eggs hatched! But Im unsure what to put into my feeder, I have chick starter in it right now, but I was wondering is that okay for the hen, or will she need the layer feed she normally has?
Thanks!
Hello everyone! I am interested in getting quail, which would be a new experience for me. If i were to get quail what would be the best breed to begin with, and can you post pictures of your quail housing, so i can see what would be a good option!
thanks! :D
Okay, so i recently went out to feed my chickens, and i noticed one of them had a huge swollen bump on the top of its foot. It looks like it's full of liquid. I know how to deal with the scab under her pad, but what do i do with the swollen bump? Do i use a disinfected needle to pop it?
my duck just hatched out some baby ducklings today and I am worried because our male ducks are very aggressive and we have lots of snapping turtles in our pond and I was wondering should I put them into a brooder?
hello, my duck went broody awhile ago, then one day she left them for the whole day and it was about 37 degrees will they still hatch? thank you!:jumpy:)
Hello, recently my rooster started breeding with my hens, and I was wondering does that mean they are about to lay? They're almost six months old.
Thanks for the help!:jumpy:)
We had 11 australorps hens and 1 rooster, but on Saturday a fox came and snatched 4 of them:hit. They are now 13 weeks and are very healthy and i was wondering when do they start to lay?:jumpy
Hi my female mallard duck was attacked by a hawk, and will not stop touching the wound. she is missing her chest feathers, and has a decent size cut on her chest as well. any ideas of what i should do to ease the pain or help encourage healing?
