    Broody causing others to stop laying? new pics 5/22

    I have a broody that I plan on trying to break tomorrow (cold water on the bottom) that seems to be causing the others to stop laying. Is this possible? Also one of my hens is missing some feathers on her neck. Could this be from the broody pecking at her?

    Smallest Egg

    I have been lurking around for a while and have been meaning to join, but after my wife sent a picture of a new egg to me today I knew I had to post it. So, why did one of my Australorps lay this unusually small egg? FYI the egg in question is in the middle beside the quarter for size reference.
