I need to cut down on my chicken flock. I can't move them to other owners, so it will be by putting them down.
I have two birds I'm debating about. I really like them, but they are so panicky when I'm around. They get along great with the other birds so they do have a good life when people...
Does anyone know what to plug in for the genetics calculator? I'm just wanting to see what I might get depending on what I cross my male and females to, but have no idea what to put in other than 'brown'. I know they're mixes, so they won't breed true, but even just some guesses would be nice...
I've recently started painting miniatures for DnD (although I'm sure I'll have some that aren't technically for DnD at some point that I add to the collection) and want a place to show them off.
Decided to make a thread around my wool and fiber art. I've dyed a few braids and spun a few skeins, but Batts are where it's at, lol.
I'm going to a sale today and tomorrow, but I'll post pictures of what I bring and if I end up buying anything.
If you have questions about my stuff or about...
That's right! It's once again Open Book time with Jacin. This month will be the only time until I reopen this thread next year to ask me anything at all (that is appropriate). Favorite color? Favorite song? Least favorite emoji? Whatever (again, must not be any inappropriate/private questions)...
So I'm new to gardening in general. Last year was my first year, and it did as well as I could have really hoped for considering I dove in without much knowledge.
This year, I like the idea of compost, but I don't know if it's just my wording incorrectly, but it's very hard for me to find much...
Are there any Swedish breeders here? I'm trying to narrow my group down to 2 or 3 females (currently have 6) and I'm just a bit torn on what would be the best ones to keep. I have 1 definitely picked out, she's probably the perfect bird besides maybe being too large.
My main goal is that I am...
I have a green layer, but am unsure who and am trying to narrow it down. I'm selling a rouen in a couple days and don't want to accidentally sell the only green layer I have so far (roughly half of my older batch is laying now).
So I guess I'm asking if anyone knows who is most likely to be...
Hello,
I need some help figuring what to feed some young (8week old roughly) muscovy drakes that have developed angelwing. One has hadmittedly had it a while, it didn't look like the images I had seen, and figured thar it was just a feather growing wonky that was pushing the digit our, and not...

Alright peeps, it's that time of year again. No more major milestones in my life yearwise, but I enjoyed the QnA so we'll do that again. Like last time, nothing...
Thread for 2023 of my birds. I totally forgot to post this yesterday, sorry it's late.
This year's plans/goals/hopes:
Finish the last barn
Bring in 2-3 new and exciting (for me at least) breeds
Bring in a new species
Finish setting up pens
Continue to post shorts of my birds
(Possibly) start...
Earlier this fall, I took a look at my current birds, from the old Flock masters, to the numerous broody hatched chicks running around that I had been essentially with this season, to the clutches still being sat on by dedicated mamas.
I've had plans for years to breed and sell hatching eggs...
Has anyone ordered from Sugar Feather Farms? I've tried looking up reviews, but can't find anything that concretely leans "good" or "bad", it's all over the place review wise.
So I know that this is either inaccurate or mostly accurate depending on who comments first on the threads. So lets test this out since I have a crap ton of babies coming this year.
First up are 5 silkies.
I'll post the rest as they arrive.
On March 4th, I'll be turning 21. Since it's a big stage in my life, I figured why not do a QnA for it and let y'all ask any questions you had about me or my flock.
Go ahead and and ask away, I'll answer any posted today tomorrow throughout the day. Obviously no questions that are...
I read something about this a while ago and want to try it later if this might work out.
The post was about freezing raw eggs for baking during winter when eggs were harder to get at home.
Is this something that can be done? Like in an ice tray? Or is this not actually possible?
