I have young standard size chickens and I found a small egg the other day.. all the chickens are under 16 weeks.. so I'm confused.. is this possible???

So I turned off the heat lamp for my 6 week old chickens but the ambient room temp is between 60-70 but since I turned it off they are huddled together as close as they can get near the other brooder which still has heat lamp.. should I just turn it back on or let them get used to lower temps...
My chicks are 5 weeks now and I know they cant go out until 6-8 weeks but at what temperature range is it ok for them to move out? When its above 50 more consistently ? Or higher? Thanks!!

I've heard of using pine shavings, or pine pellets, straw or hay. What does everyone recommend? What works best for easy cleaning and most healthy for the chickens?
