I purchased 2 different sets of biddys a few months ago, and now that theyve grown up they act the same and look identical. I was told one set was Novogens and the other set was Lohmanns. Does any one know the real difference in n them? I've not really found anything on Google.
I've been transitioning my 6 week old chicks from their brooder to the coop & run. I've kept them inside the coop constantly for 4 days now trying to teach them that's their new home and where they need to go at night. They're not 100% fully feathered, still just a few bare spots underneath them...
I am a first time chicken owner still learning as I go. I've got 16 pullets, 4 of them I just got today from a breeder I've just met. I noticed only 1 keeps falling asleep standing up while the others are frisky and running around. Is this normal chick behavior? Please not judgement, I'm still...

My chicks are about 2 & a half weeks old and some are about a week old. Today when changing the pine shavings I added a little sweet PDZ to help neutralize any odors and keep it as odorless as possible. They instantly started running around scratching at the PDZ granules that I had kinda...
What is the best watering system/waterer for chicks? 1 I have is too small for the 12 (soon to be 16) I've got and the other pours water out ridiculously. Please help! They're currently in a brooder .

Is Corid safe for such chicks as young as just a few days old? They still have the little tooth on their beaks that helps them break out of the shell. I've noticed foamy diarrhea and was going to put them in the same brooder as my 1-2 week old chicks who are being treated currently for coccidiosis.
I am totally new to the world of raising chickens, so I am trying to learn as much as possible right now. I bought my chicks less than a week ago from tractor supply and have noticed one has diarrhea with what appears to be blood. The local feed store recommends I treat them all for coccidiosis...
