Hatched 3 eggs for first time

Had a broody hen and she hatched this sweet girl ( I think it’s a girl). We named her snow White. Cross between a Silkie and buff Orpington. She is about 11 weeks old. The darker Grey I’m pretty sure is a boy and he is a cross between a Silkie and black australorp. And then we have a light grey...

Not sure on what she is

She was a surprise chick and the only one I don’t know of breed. Pinkish legs and white/cream underbelly. I know there are few chickens that have the chipmunk look. Any guesses?

    Silkie Babies

Hello So I recently purchased two Silkie babies. I know they are hard to sex until older, but my one stands up right more. I read that it usually means male. Is it still too early to tell? They are only a week old come Saturday. They are very active and chatty though, more than my past chicks...

The other 3 can still stick with her with no problem. When this one baby comes near the other babies or her she really attacks...

    Roo?

So I ordered all females and I noticed this on Wendy Darling today. I’m guessing she/he is a silver laced Wyandotte (she was a “surprise” pick when ordered online). Is she a he? Two weeks old.

    Hello from Michigan

Well the weather here is not that pleasant and it’s been a chilly week. My hens loved the warmer weather last week and are prolly wondering what is happening. This is my second year owning chickens and I love them! So far Buff Orphingtons are my favorite! I have all hens and no roosters. Was...

    Mama Hen and Baby Chicks

Last Tuesday I was able to successfully place 4 baby chicks under my 3 week broody hen. She took to them so perfectly. This was the first time I’ve done this so I was super happy! The mama hen is a silver Wyandotte name Mary Poppins. She is very protective over her babies (and was very sassy...
