    If I had 2 white crested blue polish hens and 2 splash silkie hens (one with minor crossbeak) aged between 5-3 months not laying yet but should be soon. Would taking trades for hatching eggs be a stupid idea? I’m looking for certain breeds to hatch mainly being marans and cream legbars.

    What color will they be?

    Hatched this little chick out. Parents are either birchen Cochin x birchin Cochin or birchen Cochin x black Cochin. She hatched completely yellow and now has these feathers coming in. I absolutely love them in just curious what color everyone thinks they will be.

    Is this a bantam chick?

    Bought 6 chicks from Rural king & picked out a chipmunk looking chicken but she is so much smaller then the rest & holds her wings lower… is she a bantam or is something wrong? She’s active & loud but I’ve never had a chick hold their wings so low.
